2000 Chestnut | Fee: $1,500 | Owned by Cheri Barber & Deb Ferrell, Reddick, FL
One of the most beautiful sons of the late Treble’s Willy Wild, Dom is one of the successful golden crosses of Tug Hill Commando to Willy. His dam, Sizzle, has been a superior producer giving us such notable champions as Grand Cru Valentino, Grand Cru Taittinger, Stonecroft Flammable and the up and coming Grand Cru Merry Edwards.
Dom has been used lightly, but with just nine foals on the ground, he has had a strong percentage of winners. For that recognizable Willy/Commando look, consider this wonderful stallion a solid choice.
1982 ~ 2015 | Available via Frozen Semen | Owned by Treble’s Morgan Manor Trust and Jerome & Shirley Modell, Ocala, FL
There is probably no other Morgan name that commands more instant recognition and appreciation than TUG HILL COMMANDO. Purchased in fall of his birth year as an outcross for the Treble’s mares, he remained under the watchful eyes of Carol and co-owners Drs. Jerome and Shirley Modell throughout his life, and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge just down the road under the loving care of Cheri Barber Stables, where he lived with his lifetime trainer/handler. From his exquisite beauty to his dozens of World Champion foals, he singlehandedly raised the bar to which all other stallions of his generation aspired to attain. His “Golden Cross” on the Willy Wild daughters (many of whom were out of daughters of Quaker’s Acre Treble) quickly put Treble’s Morgan manor on the map and became the gold standard for Morgan type, character and quality. The 20 plus year reign of Commando sons and daughters both in the show ring as well as the breeding shed is a full chapter of Morgan history. While Commando is sadly no longer with us, we maintain a limited supply of viable frozen semen for the future.
Commando was the first foal of Fiddler’s Majesta, the Hall of Fame broodmare who produced such notable breeding and show ring champions as Tug Hill Whamunition, Tug Hill Alibi, LCS Fortune Smiles and Cabot Custom Made. Together with his 3/4 brother Whamunition, this wellspring of blood has garnered more World Champion titles to their family than any other contemporary Morgan family.

2002 Bay | Fee: $2000 Owned by David & Stephanie Draper, Strawberry Hill Morgans, Charlevoix, MI
After a stellar debut as the Michigan Morgan Breeders Futurity Grand Champion, this elegant stallion suffered a nearly life-ending injury that left him crippled for life and redirected his future to the breeding shed. Fortunately, he has proven to be exceptional in this new role.
A 3/4 brother to such important breeding and show horses as Stonecroft Byzantine and Stonecroft Neoclassic, we have been carefully selecting his first crosses and the results have been impressive. In 2009, a son and a daughter both showed in the Michigan Morgan Breeders Futurity and the results were impressive. DSD Ava won every class she entered, including Grand Champion Futurity Weanling and the RaDon Champion Yearling over the boys and finished her year in the Top Five Grand National Yearling Fillies at Okhlahoma.
DSD Zingerman won the Michigan Futurity’s Weanling Colt class and tied an impressive fourth in a huge class of weanlings in the RaDon Weanling Spectacular Sweepstakes behind his stablemate. As a yearling, he was Top Ten at the Grand National in both his Yearling Colt class as well as the World Futurity.
Nominated to the Michigan and World Morgan Futurities.
